UIDAI launches new feature for customers, now home address can be changed by taking a photo from the phone
Changing the home address on the Aadhar card just got easier. Now you can change the address in your Aadhaar card by sending a color photo from your mobile phone. UIDAI tweeted, "Color the supporting document and upload it to your phone." This means your home address will now be updated in just a few clicks without a long line or extra charge.
UIDAI has released a video about it. This video provides information on changing the home address. UIDAI tweeted, first go to website https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on Online Address Update. Enter the correct address and upload the supporting document's color scan file.
Address update process in online support
First, go to the official website of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on the My Adhaar tab there. In the second tab of the dropdown, go to Udate Your Aadhaar and click on the third option Update your address online in the dropdown.
Clicking will open a new page. Click on Proceed to Update Address when going down here. A new page will open again. On this page, first enter your Aadhaar number followed by captcha verification and click on Send OTP. Now an OTP will arrive at your Aadhaar Registered Number. Place a 6 digit OTP below the OTP under OTP / TOTP and click on Log in below.
This page has now been given the option of Update Address via Address Proof, Update Address via Secred Code. When linking the address proof option, you will have to fill in the details of the new address on the new page. Then upload the photo of the appropriate document. Now you can complete the next process by clicking on the new option. After verification of your online application, the address on the Aadhar card will change and the new card will be posted to your new address.
